WHO will convoke Members States and technology groups linked to Covid immunization credentials to recognize vaccination certificates from different countries and regions.
The news is advanced by the newspaper POLITICO , which quotes a high official of the Vaccination Credential Initiative.
According to Brian Anderson, chief physician of digital health at MITER and co-founder of VCI, WHO is bringing groups together to develop a system that allows countries to verify vaccination credentials.
The VCI ( Vaccination Credential Initiative) is behind SMART Health Cards , which has become the standard for digital vaccination credentials in the US, with dozens of states developing or adopting the technology.
The group, which has partners such as Microsoft or Oracle, will participate in the initiative.
