Privacy Policy

Who we are
Our website address is: https://theblindspot.pt. By browsing it, you accept our Privacy Policy.

What personal data is collected and why
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, the data present in the comment form, as well as the IP address and browser user agent are stored to help with spam detection.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you can choose to save your name, email address and site in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and will be deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, some cookies will be set to save your session information and your screenshot choices. Log-in cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your session will persist for a fortnight. When you log out, your session cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include personal data but only indicates the content ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Built-in content from other sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves as if the user were visiting those sites.

This site may collect data about you, use cookies, embed tracking by third parties, monitor your interactions with this site, including recording your interactions with embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that site.

Analytical Data
How long are your data retained?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is so that it is possible to automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of putting them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we save the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception that they cannot change their user name). Site administrators may also view and edit that information.

What rights do you have to your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an export file with the personal data stored about you, including any personal data you have submitted. You can also request that the saved data be deleted. This does not include any personal data that you are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data is sent
Visitors’ comments can be checked via an automated spam detection service.
